After a month-long dance tour overseas, Leni returns to Georgia to care for her great-uncle, only to find him gone, their home empty, and any evidence he ever existed wiped out. All that remains is her truck and a leather-bound book she can’t open. Nearly as disturbing, she keeps running into the deaf and dangerously sexy model she’d met in Italy, and no matter how hard she tries to shake him, her soul won’t let her.

Jeric has traveled the world in search of a piece of his past for over a year, only to reach a dead-end in Georgia … in the exact town where the beautiful dancer from Italy lives. He’s drawn to her like a moth to a flame, but his life as a loner in his silent world allows no room for girlfriends, and he tries to leave her. Except outside forces won’t let him.

When the same “tattoos” suddenly appear on their arms and the book’s lock falls open, Leni and Jeric realize there’s more between them than physical fascination. They must embark on a journey together to discover their connection to each other and their ties to the Book of Phoenix.

And they must figure it all out fast. Shadowy forms that are more monsters than men are closing in, while their own existences are crumbling around them.

Review
"Kristie has done it again! Her Soul Savers series is my favorite by far and yet The Space Between is easily the best book she's ever written! It's dangerous, suspenseful, and smokin' hot." ~ Marissa, Comfortably Read Book Reviews

From the Inside Flap
As soon as he was gone, I could finally breathe again. I connected my iPod to the docking station and turned up the volume, not caring that unlike at the lake, there were people around here. I was done caring about what they thought. In fact, the louder I cranked the music, the better. My body did what it loved to do, twisting and turning, swinging and gyrating to the beat, and my mind did what I loved it to do--lose itself.

I swung around to once again find Jeric standing in the doorway. His eyes smoldered, and his tongue swiped across his lips. Like last time, I froze. He shook his head and held his cell phone against his chest, the screen facing me with a text already typed out: "Don't stop. Ever."

Right. Remembering how he'd reacted last time, I began moving again. He sauntered toward me as his fingers moved over his phone's screen. He held it out for me to read again:

"If I could hear one more time for only a minute, it would be right now, to hear the music that makes your body move in that way."

Imaginative- but not for me
By hollieanne
I was so excited to check out this paranormal romance. I've loved Kristie Cook's previous work because of the originality she achieves. I went into this book with high expectations mostly because of the incredible reviews it has gotten so far, and the fact I've loved this writers previous work. I'm quite sad to say, it just didn't do it for me. I know the majority of readers loved this book, and I'm happy to hear that and see the positive reviews, it just wasn't for me. The only thing I hate worse than a book virgin in her 20s is a book virgin that hooks up with a man slut (whom has no morals at all sexually and will sleep with anyone who offers, which he did repeatedly in this book). And of course, the book virgin always has to make the man slut turn over a new leaf and become this great person/soul mate etc. It's just a concept I find ridiculous and that has been overdone. Also, the other thing I didn't like, was pretty much hearing similar stories repeated throughout. I've never been a fan of stories that go from past to present from one chapter to the next.

How much did I pay: .99
Was it worth it: I think I got my .99 worth even tho it was just an ok read for me
Will I recommend: probably not
Will I read more in series: no

Good Lord Jeric
By andrewsheath
The moment I fell in love with Jeric was when the moment I found out he had nipple piercings and tattoos, yep not caring what type of person he was or anything of the kind the tattoos did me in. In this review I thought I'd try something a little bit different, breaking down the relationship of Jeric and Leni and the type of people they are, why because I've got some AMAZEBALL quotes that I loved and had me entertained! So Jeric has issues but he's totally caring, "You're okay?" he finally signed, and I nodded hesitantly, still unsure of him. "You looked like you were being attacked, the way your fists were flying, but I didn't see anyone otherwise, I would have pounded them." He's cocky, "I don't do girlfriends, unless they're someone else's." And yet at the same time honest, "Sure, I respect those women who want a boyfriend by staying away from them. And I respect those women who sometimes want a good lay and nothing more by giving it to them. No harm either side. Just a good time." Okay so a little crude, but it's still honest. Yeah... Leni loved her bless that girl, she doesn't take crap from anyone and i mean ANYONE, "What do you mean you don't feel it? And who the hell do you think you are? You can't traipse into my hotel room and claim a spot! Why are you even here in the first place? Are you stalking me? Did you follow me from Sulmona to Rome and now here? I'm not one of those girls who will spread my legs for you at your command, you know. I don't care if you are an underwear model. So get your ass out of here before I call the front desk and have you thrown out." When Jeric starts feeling things he gets more defensive and honestly I may have a sense of twisted humor by admitting this but it was entertaining, " If it was just a kiss, I'd be begging you for more because that's all I wanted to do all day. that - what happened just now - was more than a kiss and you know it." Did I mention the temper Leni has? "You lost your right to call me babe. And if you think that I care one tiny turd of s*** about how you feel you're sadly mistaken." What made this book truly enjoyable and had me falling in love with it was the fact that Jeric has a disability and it doesn't keep him down, he doesn't allow it to bring him down, and I truly loved that about this book. The ending was okay I was expecting more, after I finished reading it I found out it was a first book in a series so I rethought my decision on how I felt about the ending and for a first book in a series it was better then most books.

tattooes & nipple piercings, need I say more Lol ;)
By Jenn Green
'Twin Flames: A deeper connection than soul mates. While soul mates are two souls made for each other, Twin Flames are two halves of a single soul that has been divided. The halves pull to each other until they are finally reunited. When they are once again bound to each other, they are stronger than the sum if their parts.'

That was flippin' amazing. Awesomesauce with a huge side of OH HELL YEAH!! This is the first book I have read from this author, but this one definitely makes me wanna check out her soulsavers series, she is just fantastic, LOVED IT!!

When you read the blurb it does hint to a paranormal side of this book, but you have no idea what you're in for. In a genre that has been done & re-done to death, it's always nice to come across one that is unique, a story all it's own. This. Is. It!!

'The word "dyad" echoed from deep within me, as if my soul itself had whispered it. I didn't even know what the word meant.
But I did know one thing for certain.
Before last night, I'd never seen this guy in my life -how could I ever forget that face?- but in some inexplicable way, I knew him. My soul knew him.'

It is so very hard to discuss much about the story without killing it for you & that would just be cruel, you really need to live it and watch everything unfold firsthand. Intense, thrilling, surprising, complex & sexy only starts to describe it. There are actually two couples we follow through this adventure -Jeric & Leni, Micah & Jacey- that's right, four POV's!! But it's not at all confusing, one story feeds off the other, one acts as a guiding light of sorts leading the way but each uniquely their own. You will grow to love all four people in their own ways.

Leni: oh this poor misguided, insecure girl with a wild steak deeply hidden just begs to be hugged & desperately needs to figure who she is as an individual & free her inner wild-child.
Jeric: oh my sweet lord, tattoos & nipple piercings....he had my full attention from that point on Lol. But he also has a tragic past that have left both emotional & physical scars. And sadly, he can be kind of a douche, pulls some really dumba** moves, broke my heard a few times, but there is an incredibly sweet and vulnerable side to him as well.

"You saved my life. Thank you."
"It's what I do. I can't lose you, Leni. I know I don't deserve you. God, do I know it. But I need you. You're the Coke to my Jack."
"What?"
"For eight years, life's been one bitter bottle of whiskey after another. One burning shot after shot. But then you come along. Life's still harsh, but you make it sweeter. Easier to swallow."

Jacey: this girl was a hott mess, but she totally cracked me up. Sweet & feisty, totally punk-rock, loved her.
and Micah: ex-Marine (again, how hott are these guys?!) Protective, sexy & just down-right cute, if not a little hot headed at times.

"I don't get it either, but I love you too, Jacey. I'm not afraid to say it, and I'm not going to keel over and die because I do. Please don't fight it. Please don't fight us. We need to be together. You're all I have, too, you know. We're all either of us has. And if loving you does by some f***ed-up chance kill me, I'm okay with it. I couldn't die a better way, Jace."

And once you learn their connection to each other, whew...will not see it coming. This whole thing is one giant action-packed thrill ride full of surprises, hott & feisty characters, and a whole lot of suspense. Cannot wait to see where this series goes from here. I'm throwing one last quote in, just cause it was funny as hell & by the way, I'm totally listening to 'Nine Inch Nails'while I write this ;) that song will never be the same Lol

'guys worshiped the cootchie. They talked about it frequently and thought about it even more. They wanted to see it, touch it, taste it, master it. As if once they came out on the day they were born, all they could think about was how to get back in. They may take you out, treat you like a princess and maybe even really care about you, but as soon as you give them access to the jewel between your legs, you've made their dreams come true. You've given them a slice of heaven.'
