not quite reinvented.

a good survey of the shifting changes in childhood after world war ii. Not exactly about the 1950s and WWII's effects on child rearing, but conveys a broad scope of what changed and why. A good introduction for more detailed studies. An examination of the continuities of childhood, though, would have enriched the discussion.
